Interdisciplinarity and Transdisciplinarity: Exploring, Mapping and Anchoring the Field
Symposium ‘Interdisciplinarity and transdisciplinarity’Complex issues require answers that cross disciplinary boundaries. An interdisciplinary approach to an issue integrates insights from a range of disciplines; if such an approach also encompasses other types of knowledge, such as experiential knowledge, the approach is called transdisciplinary.

At this symposium, prominent scientists will present current good interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary practices in the areas of research, teaching and policy analysis. The symposium aims to share knowledge and experiences, stimulate new research and strengthen our network of scientists.

The symposium is hosted by the Association for Integrative Studies, the Network for Transdisciplinary Research (td-net), and the Center for the Study of Interdisciplinarity.

This is an expert meeting.
