Increasing number of female professors in Utrecht

The number of female professors working at Utrecht University has nearly tripled during the past 10 years. In 1997, their percentage was only 5.7%; in 2007 this had increased to 15%.  At present (2009) the number of female professors has increased to 100. More than half of all doctoral degree students in Utrecht are female.
