Proposals International Strategic Collaboration
Collaborating with international universities is fundamental to providing excellent teaching and research. Utrecht University collaborates with renowned universities around the world. Additional funding is available for specific activities with international strategic partner universities, the Utrecht University Partners (UUPs) and partners with a strong profile in one of the 4 strategic themes of Utrecht University (‘Life Sciences’, ‘Sustainability’, ‘Institutions’, ‘Youth and Identity’).
Visiting Teaching Fellowships
Utrecht University will co-fund visiting fellowships in academic year 2013/2014 to strengthen the ties between Utrecht University and its strategic international partners. The purpose of these visiting fellowships is to initiate new collaborations in teaching between UU and its partners and to explore and set up (external funded) cooperation projects in education and/or research Applications to the Executive Board must be sent in by a Utrecht University professor and must be within 1 of the 15 research focus areas and linked to one of the 4 strategic themes of Utrecht University.
Intensive Workshops
Utrecht University want to enhance successful collaboration in strategic themes (‘Life Sciences’, ‘Sustainability’, ‘Institutions’, ‘Youth and Identity’) between Utrecht University and its international partners. Therefore Utrecht University offers grants for the organisation of intensive workshops in cooperation with an international partner that has an international high qualified profile in at least one UU strategic theme. In this call for proposals an intensive workshop is an expert meeting of scientific leaders to strengthen existing or initiate new collaborations between international partners (preferably at least one Utrecht University Partner, UUP). The main purpose of the workshop should be to explore and set up new (external funded) cooperation projects in research (e.g. EC projects) and/or education (e.g. structured mobility or joint summer school programmes) in one of the strategic themes of Utrecht University.
