Development

In addition to these research collaborations, Utrecht University also works together with 2 other partner-universities within a development framework. Utrecht University supports these universities in setting up a solid infrastructure for their research and teaching activities:

UNESCO Chair in Education for Peace, Democracy, and Human Rights

Professor Martín LozadaThe UNESCO Chair is a fixed-term professorship in the field of peace education. The chair in Education for Peace, Democracy, and Human Rights was established at Utrecht University in 2007 with a particular focus on Latin America.

Prince Bernhard Scholarships

Uitreiking Prins Bernhard ScholarshipSince 1991 Utrecht University annually awards 2 Prince Bernhard Scholarships, supported by the Spanish, Portuguese and Ibero-American Institute. The purpose of the scholarships is to support 3 month research projects on the economic, political and cultural relations between the Netherlands/Europe and Latin America.
