Booth Hall (Auditorium)
The Booth Hall is called after dr. Cornelis Booth (1605-1678), the first librarian of the City Library, later University Library, from 1640 to 1678. The hall seats 125 persons and is located on the mezzanine of the University Library Uithof.
The Booth Hall is available for, among other things, faculty guest lectures, faculty degree certificate ceremonies, faculty lectures, symposia and congresses and Studium Generale lunch lectures.
The Booth Hall is not available for regular educational activities.

When you make a reservation for the Booth Hall, you also reserve the foyer. Please, bear in mind the times your reservation starts and ends if you want to use the foyer for catering.
There is an hour’s interval between two bookings, for events lasting longer than planned and to clear up the room.
Use of the hall
Before you make use of the Booth Hall, please report to the service desk on the first floor. If you want to, a staff member can explain to you how to use the equipment in this hall. Staff members are available from 9 a.m. onwards. See also the conditions of use of the Booth hall.
Exhibitions
Exhibitions can be set up in the showcases in the Booth Hall.
Rates
- Use of the Booth hall for Utrecht University cultural-academic services is free of charge, as are our other library services. Not only the collections, but also the library building and its facilities are available for all Utrecht University staff and students.
- For all other activities, rates will be charged. For further information about the rates, please contact the FSC Congres- en Evenementenbureau at 030-2538552 (Monday to Friday between 9 a.m and 4.30 p.m.).
Catering
Catering services can only be provided by the catering department of Utrecht University. The foyer is used for catering, between the times of your reservation.
