Off campus you have access to all electronic journals, e-books and search engines of Utrecht University Library.
You are a staff member of UMC Utrecht
Not all staff members of University Medical Center Utrecht (UMC Utrecht) are automatically employed by Utrecht University. Only if you have a so-called
Solis ID you have off-campus access to the electronic journals, e-books and search engines of Utrecht University Library.
As an UMC Utrecht employee you have access to the library electronic information sources within the UMC Utrecht. However, within UMC Utrecht,
RefWorks (the program for online references management), is only accessible for staff members with a Solis ID.
You have a university library card
If you have a library card, but you are not a student or staff member of Utrecht University, you have no off-campus access.
Utrecht University cannot offer this service, not even if you are willing to pay, due to contracts with publishers and providers.
Logging in
The Utrecht University
library homepage is the starting point for your search.
When you click on a link to an article from an electronic journal, an e-book or a database, a login screen will appear on which you will need to fill in your
Solis ID and password.
You only have to log in once; your details will be kept during the rest of the browser session.
Proxy
Sometimes when consulting search engines or when using apps you might be asked for the proxy of your institution.
