Utrecht University Library has several locations. The library in De Uithof is situated in a award-winning contemporary building. In september 2009, a new library was opened in the 16th century buildings of the city centre.
Spread over the locations, Utrecht University Library has 2110 study places, mostly with network connection and wireless internet access, and over 3,5 million books and journal volumes.
Every collection available to every student
Every student is welcome to use any location of the University Library and all the books and journals available. The library also offers many digital services, including access to more then 10.000 electronic journals with millions of full text articles, and a large collection of bibliographic databases.
Easy access
Students of Utrecht University do not have to register: their student card gives access to the library collection. PhD’s working for the university can get a free library card. All students and employees receive a solis-id, which gives access to the complete electronic collection.
