This Master’s programme educates graduates who want to contribute to an environmentally accountable society. The two-year programme focuses on the changes needed to achieve an environmentally and socially accountable society. Students learn how such processes of change can be analysed and managed, locally and globally, in both the short and the long term.
More than 100 students from all over the world start this research oriented programme each year. In this international environment students acquire the specialised knowledge and professional attitudes and skills they need to become first class researchers in academic and professional organisations in the field of sustainable development. In addition students become familiar with practical strategies for intervention.
The programme is suitable for natural and social science undergraduates who want to study complex sustainable development issues from a multidisciplinary perspective. Students apply for one of four different tracks and specialise in a natural or social science profile, depending on their undergraduate education.
