Privately funded Master's programmes
- The application procedure described below is only meant for the following privately funded Master’s programmes: Animal Welfare / Epidemiology Postgraduate / International Business Law and Globalisation / International Human Rights and Criminal Justice / Veterinary and Molecular Pathology /Veterinary Epidemiology and Economics.
- For all state funded Master’s programmes, follow the procedure via Studielink.
How to apply
The application procedure consists of the following steps. Please bear in mind the deadline for your Master’s programme.
- Download the instructions for ‘Application privately funded Master's programmes’.
- Go to 'Applying to UU' and apply. Make a note of the documents and forms you have to send in. You can download the forms below.
- You will receive a confirmation of your application and a student nummer by e-mail.

All requested forms and documents you send in must include your student number.

Applicants from China: apply for a Nuffic Certificate. Make sure you apply for the Nuffic Certificate at the same time you apply for admission at Utrecht University, otherwise your application cannot be processed. You can find more information and apply for a Nuffic Certificate online at www.nuffic.nl/nuffic-certificate.
Forms
After applying
Once your complete application has been received (i.e., the online application and the requested forms and documents):
- UU International Office assesses your application to see if you meet the general entry requirements
- The Admissions Committee of the Master’s programme determines if you meet the specific programme requirements
- You are informed about the decision of the Selection Committee by letter.
If you are accepted
- You receive a registration form to finalize your enrolment at the university.
- You receive an invoice for the payment of your tuition fee.
- As soon as you have received your Utrecht University e-mail address, please upload your passport photo for your student card.
