The Research Master's programme in Philosophy is built around three central ideas:
- let the students participate in research-related activities of the research institute ZENO that bundles the research in philosophy at Utrecht University
- allow the students to follow a highly personalized course of study with ample opportunities for specialization, while guaranteeing a broad overview over the field of philosophy as a whole, and while sustaining consistently high standards
- offer intensive courses and tutorials on a wide range of topics in the history of philosophy, theoretical philosophy, and practical philosophy
