This Master’s programme is officially registered under the name Migration, Ethnic relations and Multiculturalism (code 66631). You will need to use this name and code when you apply for this programme. Read more about the online application procedure

When to expect a decision

Which documents do I have to send in?

Prior education obtained at Required documents

Other Dutch University - Motivation letter*
- Letter of recommendation*
- Certified copy of diploma (if earned), including a transcript. Otherwise a certificate of completed courses and a list of courses you expect to complete
Foreign University - this procedure is handled by our Admissions Office, click here
*You can digitally send these documents to mastertoelating.fsw@uu.nl or hand them in at the Student Information Point (STIP): www.uu.nl.fsw/stip. Please title your e-mail "documents <<name master>>"!

*)  You are an EU/EEA citizen when you have the nationality of one of the following countries: all countries of the European Union, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Monaco, Norway, Vatican City and Switzerland.

**)  Students who are from non-EU/EEA countries need to apply for an entry visa and/or a residence permit. This means they will need extra time, which is why they cannot apply after 1 April.

Be in good time before the deadline!
After you have applied online, you have to pay the application fee and send in a number of forms and documents. Make sure we have received everything in good time before the deadline. If at the deadline your file is incomplete and/or your application fee has not been paid, your application will not be considered.

Scholarship? Apply before 1 December!
If you wish to apply for a scholarship, you have to apply for your Master’s programme before 1 December. Note: you can only apply for a scholarship if you start your Master’s programme in September.
