Professor Annetje Ottow is the joint director of the LLM programme in Law and Economics. She was appointed Professor of Public Economic Law at the Europa Institute of Utrecht Law School in 2007, having completed her PhD at the University of Amsterdam in 2006. She is a governor of the Europa Institute and is President of the Dutch Association of European Law, as well as an associate member of OPTA, the independent Dutch post and telecommunications authority. She edits and contributes to a number of Dutch journals, including Mediaforum and Markt & Mededinging and she regularly advises the Dutch government on legal issues, most recently serving as an expert witness at the De Wit Inquiry into the causes and consequences of the recent financial crisis. She was recently appointed as non-governmental advisor of the International Network of Competition Authorities. Her main areas of research include public economic law, European law, administrative law and competition law.
