Student life

Together, Utrecht University and the city of Utrecht create a comfortable environment for students to study in. Utrecht has a bustling student community, which offers plenty of opportunity for extracurricular activities. There are many different student organisations and societies in Utrecht. Some of them are internationally oriented – such as Erasmus Student Network  - or are associated with a certain faculty. In addition to social activities, they organise lectures and excursions.

Utrecht University has its own cultural centre – Parnassos – which provides you with plenty of opportunities to explore your talents via the performing arts and creative workshops.

De Uithof also provides you with excellent sports facilities at Olympos.

University College Utrecht and University College Roosevelt both combine the advantages of on-campus life with those of a bustling, lively city. Plenty of on-campus activities (creative, cultural, sports, student gatherings, etc.) are organised.

Summer School participants have a complete social programme awaiting them, including city tours, sports and cultural events and several excursions.
