A place to stay in Utrecht

Utrecht is the most popular university town in the Netherlands, so the demand for student housing is very high. It is therefore absolutely necessary to start looking for accommodation as soon as possible. For our international students, we have an agreement with SSH Short Stay. This local housing corporation offers temporary furnished housing. They reserve a range of furnished accommodation in and around Utrecht especially for international students of Utrecht University. 

Student housing in the Netherlands

A typical aspect of student housing in the Netherlands is that you live with other students in a house or flat and share the kitchen, bathroom, washing machine etcetera. The rooms are often modest but comfortable. This also goes for SSH Short Stay accommodation. 

Housing through SSH Short Stay

SSH Short Stay accommodation is not cheap. However it is convenient and comfortable: fully furnished, and utilities such as internet, water, gas and heating are included in the rent. 

The number of accommodation that Utrecht University reserves with SSH Short Stay is limited, and is offered on a first come, first serve basis. If you apply in time, your chances of finding accommodation through SSH Short Stay are good.

Registration is free, but when you submit a reservation for the accommodation of your choice, you are charged a reservation fee. As an international student of Utrecht University you pay a (reduced) reservation fee of 170 euro.
