Support for student athletes

Utrecht University cherishes intellectual as well as sports talents. As being a top-class athlete does not easily combine with studying, special facilities have been created to suit the needs of student athletes. These facilities are only available for students who are recognised sportsmen and women.

This means that students must practise a recognised sport at the highest international level (European or World Championships and Olympic Games). The Netherlands Under 21 football team and new talents are also eligible. Utrecht University applies the NOC*NSF status classification.
