Partnerships

Utrecht University collaborates with various regional, national and international parties.

Hogeschool Utrecht

Hogeschool Utrecht (HU) and Utrecht University collaborate on a number of teaching activities.

Utrecht School of Arts

In 2005, Utrecht University and the Utrecht School of the Arts (Hogeschool voor de Kunsten Utrecht, HKU) founded the Professional School of the Arts Utrecht (PSAU). PSAU not only provides teaching, it also offers artist-researchers, scientists and students the possibility of conducting research into subjects at the interface of Arts and Science.

Utrecht Bridge

Utrecht Bridge (Utrechtse Brug) is aimed at improving the low participation rate of ethnic minority groups in the Utrecht region. Utrecht Bridge is a collaboration between Utrecht University, Hogeschool Utrecht and the Central Netherlands Regional Training Centre (Regionaal Opleidingen Centrum, ROC Midden Nederland).

Schools Network

The Schools Network has been set up to improve the transition from secondary school to university, for example by giving secondary school teachers and university teachers the opportunity to share experiences. The Schools Network is a partnership between 40 schools in the Utrecht region and nearly all of the university faculties.

International partnerships

Utrecht University has entered into both faculty and university-wide teaching international partnerships with universities across the world. Collaboration primarily consists of student exchange programmes, but may also comprise joint programmes and teacher exchange or teacher-to-teacher cooperation. Besides this Utrecht University also participates in various international networks.

Centre for Entrepreneurship and Innovation

The Centre for Entrepreneurship and Innovation (Centrum voor Ondernemerschap en Innovatie, CvOI) was initiated by Science Park Utrecht. This centre advises and supports students and staff intending to set up their own business.
