Why we need your support
UCU has a strong international character; there are more than fifty nationalities among the student population, and over one third of the students have a non-Dutch nationality. UCU students bring in diversity with regard to experiences, lifestyles, religions, languages, and social and cultural backgrounds. In combination with the residential setting, this rich diversity offers plenty of opportunity for intercultural encounter and for friendships across the globe. Being educated in such an environment contributes to the development of independent, culturally sensitive individuals. Students embrace these values and continue to contribute to their communities after they have graduated.
You can support this diversity by donating to UCU’s scholarship fund. UCU annually awards approximately 25 scholarships to highly qualified incoming students who would not be able to afford a UCU education otherwise. By donating to the scholarship fund you can help maintain campus diversity as well as have a direct positive impact on the life of a future student, providing him or her with an educational opportunity which will benefit the student and enrich his or her home country.
With your help you demonstrate your support for talent and the high value you place on access to education, academic achievement and commitment to community. Most important, 100% of your gift goes to students who need it most.
