Marcel Bouvy graduated as a pharmacist in 1992. Since 2009 he is Professor of Pharmaceutical Care at Utrecht University. He has special interest in the development of the profession of pharmacy. This includes both observational research into medication-related problems as well as intervention studies aimed at solving these problems by pharmaceutical care. Marcel Bouvy is member of the Medicines Evaluation Board in the Netherlands, member of the scientific advisory boards of KNMP, founding member and trustee of the European Society of Patient Adherence and Compliance (ESPACOMP).
