Lydia Dalhuisen (1987) obtained her Master in Clinical and Health Psychology in 2009. In 2011 she graduated cum laude as Master in Criminal Law. During this programme, she focused in particular on the interface between psychology and law, and was already studying the phenomenon of firesetting. In September 2011 she started as a PhD researcher at the Willem Pompe Institute for Criminal Law and Criminology at Utrecht University, where she currently teaches Forensich Psychiatry and Psychology as assistent professor. She focuses her empirical legal research on victims in forensic psychiatry.
