J. C. (Cok) Vrooman is Professor Social Security and Participation at Utrecht University, and Strategic Advisor/Researcher at The Netherlands Institute for Social Research|SCP (Sociaal en Cultureel Planbureau). He obtained his MA from Erasmus University Rotterdam, and a PhD from Tilburg University (both cum laude). He supervised many (inter)national research projects and was a board member of the Dutch Sociological Association.
