Hello! I do not come from an academic background, but instead bring nearly 3 decades of real-world international business experience, after 28 years of professional and executive responsibility with a very large US telecom company. I have spent the last 17 years in international market assessment, evaluation, due diligence, M&As and divestments, and corporate governance. From 2000 to 2007, I served on up to 6 management and supervisory Boards on a number of EU/US joint ventures.
I am a dual citizen, born in Italy but educated and trained in the US. Four years ago, I chose early retirement in Europe rather than repatriation to the US, and decided on pursuing life in a more efficient Netherlands rather than a chaotic Italy. My first Master's in Econ was a LONG time ago at the University of California; my 2nd Master is much more recent, from Utecht USE, in 2010. I have come full-circle. My teaching style may be a bit unconventional, combining a lot of current real-time business developments in my Master level courses (Governance, Intl. Bus. Ventures, M&A), but I really like to stimulate student interest and engagement in these very dynamic subjects
