Jannie Pranger is Affiliated Researcher of the
Research Group Musicology at the Utrecht University. Currently she is preparing
her PhD on the topic ‘ Music Performance: Entanglement of Discourse and
Materiality’ with Prof. Dr. Karl Kügle and the research group concerning New Materialism, led by Dr. Iris van der Tuin and Dr. Rick Dolphijn.
Pranger is an accomplished singer in the field of New
Music and collaborated with composers, including Iannis Xenakis,
György Kurtág, Louis Andriessen and Alexander Knaifel.
She teaches at the Utrecht School of the Arts at the
faculty Art, Media and Technology and at the Normal University Beijing.
