In 2006, I obtained a degree in Theology at Utrecht University (equivalent of MA), with a major in Meta-Ethics, on the basis of a thesis on the intersection of Philosophy of Religion and Meta-Ethics. In the same year, I also obtained a degree from the Protestant Theological University in Professional Ministerial Education. Subsequently, I received an MA in the Advanced Studies in Theology and Religious Studies from K.U.Leuven (Belgium), with a thesis on Hilary Putnam's refutation of metaphysical realism, in 2007.

A generous grant from K.U.Leuven's Special Research Fund enabled me to conduct research into the implications of Hilary Putnam's philosophy for philosophy of religion as a Junior Fellow in Prof. Dr. Lieven Boeve's Research Group 'Theology in a Postmodern Context', at K.U.Leuven's Faculty of Theology, in the academic year 2007-8.

In 2008, a four-year position as PhD-fellow at Utrecht University's Faculty of Humanities was awarded to me. Since July 2008, I conduct research into the implications of Hilary Putnam's philosophy for the justification of religious claims, under supervision of Prof. Dr. Dirk-Martin Grube and Dr. Christoph Baumgartner. I am a member of the Department of Religious Studies and Theology and of the Research Institute for Theology and Religious Studies (INTEGON), here at Utrecht University. During fall 2010, I conducted part of my research at Harvard University's Faculty of Divinity, as a Fulbright Visiting Researcher, under supervision of Prof. Dr. David Lamberth.

I am currently also a junior member of the board of the Netherlands School for Advanced Studies in Theology and Religion (NOSTER), and Book Review Editor for Ars Disputandi - The Online Journal for Philosophy of Religion.
