In my PhD research on writing skills, supervised by prof. dr. Huub van den Bergh, I will focus on the assessment of writing ability in primary education. The goal is to develop a valid and reliable assessment instrument which provides feedback to pupils on their writing products and enables teachers to objectively rate the quality of these texts.
I am very passionate about creating good, educational evaluation systems that make objective judgment possible. In order to do so I work together with the department of Netherlands at Utrecht University and Cito, Arnhem.
