Informal learning and the use of social software in veterinary medicine Workshop organised by the Network On Veterinary ICt in Education (NOVICE)

Friday, 22 January, 2010

What?
The Workshop on informal learning and the use of social software is a one day event to review informal learning pedagogies and their effect on the choice of ICT tools, to familiarise delegates with a broad range of social software and to stimulate discussion on the role of technology stewards (staff within educational institutes involved in supporting students and graduates in the pedagogical sound way of using technology for learning). Workshops will be facilitated by staff with extensive knowledge on ICT pedagogies, like Wilfred Rubens, Marco Kalz and Lilia Efimova.

For whom?
Staff from veterinary schools in Europe or elsewhere, involved in (improving) education, and/or with affinity for pedagogies of ICT. Extensive ICT competencies are not required to participate in the workshop. After participating you will be able to assess whether social software could be useful within your own school and especially what the role could be in the support of lifelong learning of graduates from your own school.

By whom?
This workshop is organised in the frame of the Network On Veterinary ICt in Education (NOVICE), an EU funded initiative under the umbrella of the Lifelong Learning Programme.

Novice partners are veterinary schools in London, Bucharest, Budapest, Hannover and Utrecht.
