The Institute of Veterinary Research (IVR)

The Institute of Veterinary research (IVR) covers all research performed at the faculty of Veterinary Medicine, including the interfacultary Institute for Risk Assessment Sciences. External evaluations in 1999 and 2006 ranked the IVR among the top five veterinary institutions in the world (see the report of 2006). Bibliometric assessment supported this judgment showing the faculty of Veterinary Medicine on the fourth position of the most cited academic veterinary institutions (see ScienceWatch vol. 16(3), 2005).

IVR research is organized in six interdepartmental, multidisciplinary research programs. The IVR management structure is depicted below.
