The Mathematical Institute
accommodates the researchers in Mathematical Sciences. It aims at a wide coverage of mathematics at a high research level. Virtually every core area of mathematics is represented by members of the Institute. This is reflected in the undergraduate and graduate teaching programmes, in which the student can choose from a broad range of subjects.
The Mathematical Institute employs about 24 tenured staff, about 25 PhD students and 10 post doctoral researchers. There are 250 undergraduate (bachelor) students and 80 students who follow mathematics courses at graduate (master) level.
