Helmholtz Institute

The Helmholtz Institute is an interfaculty research institute of Utrecht University. The Institute is a collaboration of the departments

• Behavioural Biology (Department of Biology)
• Experimental Psychology (Faculty of Social Sciences)
• Functional Neurobiology (Department of Biology)
• Human Perception (Department of Physics and Astronomy)
• Perception Motor Integration (Department of Physics and Astronomy)

The major goals of the Helmholtz Institute are:

• Stimulation and coordination of scientific research in the field of perception and motor behaviour at the intersections of biology, medicine, physics and psychology;
• Acquisition of funds for the financing of research;
• Enforcement of the position of the Institute by collaborating with other (inter)-national institutes.
