Welcome to the Debye Institute!
The Debye Institute for Nanomaterials Science (DINS) is one of the research institutes of the Faculty of Science of Utrecht University. The Institute comprises six research groups from the Departments of Chemistry and Physics and Astronomy. In the Debye Institute approximately 175 scientists, 35 support staff, and 45 master students are active. The Institute is named after the Dutch scientist Peter Debye (1884-1966), who was one of the first true chemical physicists and physical chemists, and Nobel laureate.
