Award for students:

Science Transfer Office award for the most socially relevant research project

Within the Faculty of Science, a great amount of research occurs that is of interest to people and organisations outside of the faculty. Students also often do socially relevant research. The STO regrets that a lot of these studies don’t receive any further attention. That is why the STO will give out an award for the research project that is the most socially groundbreaking or has the greatest social impact, in addition to its good scientific quality.

What can you win?
The winner will receive prize money in the amount of € 500. Next to that, an item will be written for the STO newsletter (which goes out to companies and organisations outside of the University, as well as contacts within the University) and the Faculty of Science newsletter.

Interested in entering? You can enter your project if your research is less than two years old, and was carried out by you as a student in one of the master programmes within the Faculty of Science.

The jury has three members: one professor from the Faculty of Science, one valorisation expert and the student-member of the Faculty Council.

Deadline for submissions is November 21st.

The winner will be announced during the faculty’s New Year’s Drinks event 2013.
