Reaching the Bijvoet Center by plane

In case you are flying to the Netherlands, Utrecht can be easily reached by direct trains from the Amsterdam Airport "Schiphol". The Dutch railways have a decent website for obtaining train schedules from 'Schiphol' to 'Utrecht Centraal'. At the railway station in Utrecht, it is most convenient to take a taxi to the Bijvoet Center or your hotel.

By bus

The Bijvoet Center at 'De Uithof' can be reached by city busses and area busses. (See also the Uithof map.)

City busses
(lines 11 and 12) depart from the railway station. Busses leave every few minutes.

Bus 11: Bus 11 has the following route: Leuvenlaan, Padualaan, Heidelberglaan, final stop at the hospital (UMC)

Bus 12: Bus 12 has the following route: Weg tot de Wetenschap, Padualaan, Heidelberglaan, final stop at the hospital (UMC)

Area busses

Overvecht, Bus 30: Bus 30 leaves from Overvecht railway station, and has stops in De Uithof at Padualaan, Heidelberglaan, final stop at the hospital (UMC)

Lunetten, Bus 31: Bus 30 leaves from Lunetten railway station, and has stops in De Uithof at Padualaan, Heidelberglaan, final stop at the hospital (UMC)

Amersfoort, Bus 276 and 296: Busses 276 and 296 come from Amersfoort, and have stops in De Uithof at Universiteitsweg and at the hospital (UMC)

Nieuwegein, Bus 51 and 282: Busses 51 and 282 come from Nieuwegein and have stops in De Uithof at Universiteitsweg and at the hospital (UMC)

Zeist, Bus 254 and 281: Busses 254 and 281 come from Zeist and have stops in De Uithof at Universiteitsweg and at the hospital (UMC)

By car

You will enter De Uithof from the north over 'de Universiteitsweg'. The various University buildings are marked with road signs. On the Map of De Uithof, parking places are indicated, the parking closest to the Kruytbuilding is located on the "Leuvenlaan" (click here for Google Maps location).
