With over 1200 Master's and PhD students in more than 20 different programmes, the Graduate School of Natural Sciences forms the largest community in the natural sciences in The Netherlands.
Although many activities of students and personnel will naturally be at the programme level, the Graduate School constantly strives for collaboration and harmonisation to facilitate exchanges between Master's programmes and smooth transitions to PhD programmes and create and maintain an active community. Across the School we actively support a large number of Summer Schools.
The school awards a yearly award, including 750n euro, to the student with the best Master's thesis. The best thesis is selected by a professional and independent jury. Students can be nominated by programma coordinators or programme leaders. See the regulations for more details.
The School supports various student bodies. The Master's students are organised in A-Eskwadraat, Sticky, and Proton. PhD candidates are organised in PrOUt.
