Legal Theory

The Institute of Legal Theory focuses on law from various perspectives, for example from the perspectives of legal philosophy, legal sociology, and legal history. The members of the academic staff look for connections between theoretical reflections and concrete legal issues, in their education as well as in their research. With this inter-disciplinary approach the section distinguishes itself from the sections that are oriented towards the traditional legal domains.
