Professional experience meets academic quality* Studying alongside work
Individual, small-scale, committed. A collective learning process leading to professional insight and introspection. These are the distinguishing characteristics of the Utrecht School of Governance Executive and Master’s Programmes for Professionals (EMP).
The EMP staff develop and teach two-year certified Master’s programmes, executive programmes and shorter executive courses for executives, managers and (senior) policy assistants.
Your personal professional practice and experience play an important part in all our programmes. In addition to gaining the latest academic insights and personal growth, much room is left for mutual inspiration.
After successfully completing our Master’s programmes, students are entitled to use the Master of Arts (MA) title. This degree is comparable with the former Dutch academic title doctorandus (drs.).
USG also offers shorter and customised courses.
* For the seventh year in a row, the Utrecht School of Governance occupies the top spot in the 2008 survey among students and professors by Elsevier, a renowned Dutch news and opinion magazine.
