The Multidisciplinary Economics of Change Within Firms, Markets and Sectors
This programme focuses on changes in the relationships between firms, markets and sectors, particularly on the way in which the behaviour of firms can determine or in fact determines the development of markets and sectors or even that of the economy as a whole. This domain also focuses on the relationships between firms and stakeholders, including the owners or shareholders. In other words: the first research programme looks into issues of ‘corporate governance’. The first research programme is part of the Focus & Mass domain “Origins and impacts of institutions”. On behalf of USE, Prof. Dr. C. van Marrewijk acts a coordinator of the first research programme and of this Focus & Mass domain.
