PhD Programmes

At Utrecht University School of Economics (USE), you cannot apply directly for a paid PhD position. We use our Research Master (RM) students to fill in the vacant PhD positions. If you want to become a PhD student without being one of our RM students, you have to wait for a call for applications. This will be posted on this page.

However, if you bring your own funds and you can find a supervisor within Utrecht University School of Economics (USE), then you can apply throughout the year. Please contact Mariska van Dort (J.M.vanDort@uu.nl) in that case. Please send a CV, a research proposal, your diploma (and if possible references) when you contact Ms van Dort.
