Centre for Conflict Studies

The Centre for Conflict Studies (CCS) is an interdisciplinary, national focal point that has a unique expertise in the emerging international field of conflict studies. It focuses on the study of collective violent conflicts as well as actions and policies to address these.

The CCS draws on a variety of academic disciplines including anthropology, political sociology, international relations and development studies.

A relatively new institution at Utrecht University, the Centre is working on a programme of cutting edge research that is closely linked to its educational BA and MA programme.
