Descartes Centre

The Descartes Centre for the History and Philosophy of the Sciences and the
Humanities is a collaboration of all Faculties of Utrecht University. It was
founded on September 1st, 2007.

Education

The Descartes Centre offers two English-taught Research
Master’s programs: History and Philosophy of Science, and Historical and Comparative Studies of the Sciences and Humanities.

Research

The Descartes Centre coordinates the research in the field of history and
philosophy of the sciences and humanities at Utrecht University, and
organises symposia, congresses, and seminars. The Centre is administered
by the Faculty of Humanities.
