Matchmaking event for new HERA Joint Research Programme

Early 2012 a new HERA Joint Research Programme on Cultural Encounters will be launched. With up to €18 million available, this programme will fund new and exciting Humanities-centred projects on Cultural Encounters involving researchers from three or more countries. On 21 February 2012 a matchmaking event will take place in Berlin, intended to facilitate the building of international teams. If you would like to attend, please register before 30 November 2011.

HERA offers financial support to attend the event. Further information on both this and the application process can be found via the registration website. If you are interested in submitting a proposal in the HERA Joint Research Programme, please do not hesitate to contact the Faculty’s European Liaison Office for advice and support.

HERA-projects at Utrecht University

In the previous HERA Joint Research Programme 2 out of 15 successful proposals involved researchers from our Faculty of Humanities: Dr Bart Besamusca is coordinator of the project ‘The Dynamics of the Medieval Manuscript: Text Collections from a European Perspective’ and Prof. Mayke de Jong participates in the project ‘Cultural Memory and the Resources of the Past, 400-1000 AD’.
