Organisation
The Faculty Board of the Faculty of Humanities is made up of the Dean, two Vice Deans (one each for research and education), the Director of the Faculty and a Student Assessor. The Dean is appointed by the Executive Board. The Faculty Board is supported by a Management Secretary.

The Faculty Council is the participatory body for the Faculty of Humanities, and is composed of 24 student representatives and 12 staff representatives. The council has an independent President.
Departments
The departments of the Faculty of Humanities are home to the faculty’s employees. Each department is responsible for human resources policy, budgets and the coordination of the faculty’s education and research duties. They provide the context for education and research in their respective academic disciplines.
Schools
The Schools of the Faculty of Humanities are responsible for the content, planning and organisation of the Bachelor’s study programmes, including student admissions, course catalogues, student counselling, enforcement of examination regulations etc. They also monitor the quality of the education provided.
The Graduate School of Humanities is responsible for the faculty’s academic Master's programmes, research Master’s programmes and PhD courses.
Research Institutes
The research institutes are responsible for the execution and content of all of the research performed at the faculty, as well as for monitoring and promoting the quality of the faculty’s research.
