Guest Lecture by Prof. Claire Colebrook on Gilles Deleuze's philosophy and Cultural Studies
On 26 October Prof. Claire Colebrook (Penn State University, Pennsylvania) gives a guest lecture in this year’s Deleuze seminar series, organised by the OSL (Onderzoekschool Literatuurwetenschap) and chaired by Prof. Rosi Braidotti (Director of the Centre for the Humanities, Utrecht University) and Prof. Anneke Smelik (Radboud Universiteit, Nijmegen). This year the theme of the seminar series is the relation between Deleuze’s philosophy and Cultural Studies by reading the books on Kafka and Proust.

Prof. Claire Colebrook is Professor of English at Penn State University, Pennsylvania. She has published articles on contemporary European philosophy, feminist theory, literary theory, contemporary music, dance, visual culture and political theory. Prof. Colebrook is the author of numerous books on the philosophy of Gilles Deleuze, literary theory, gender and philosophical critiques. She holds a first degree from Melbourne University and a PhD from the University of Edinburgh, where she up until recently moreover held a position as professor of modern literary theory.
