Previous to Deborah Hay's performance No Time to Fly on Saturday evening Sept 18, that is presented by Springdance, there will also be an open seminar 'contemporary dramaturgical strategies' and a lecture 'performance – of another life, a lecture on touch and gesture’ by writer/curator Adrian Heathfield, the first Festival Fellow at the Centre for the Humanities, in cooperation with Theatre Studies department at Utrecht University.

Because of Heathfield’s Fellowship, the Centre for the Humanities and Theatre Studies organised in cooperation with Springdance already this spring a series of Salons that explored issues at the intersection of contemporary dance practice and current theoretical developments. Adrian Heathfield is the first of a line of fellows around whom a range of activities will be planned.

The lecture ‘performance – of another life’ that was cancelled last Springdance because of the ash cloud, will now take place September 18, previous to Deborah Hay's performance. In the afternoon there will also be an open seminar with Heathfield about contemporary dramaturgical strategies, for Theatre students and other people who are interested.
