Urban and Regional Planning

This section of the Urban and Regional research centre Utrecht (URU) has recently joined forces with the research program of the ‘Environmental Studies and Policy’ section; both sectors are in the Faculty of Geosciences (although in different departments).

The title of the program is: ’Environmental Governance for Sustainable Development’

Our research program endeavours to further our understanding of how and why different – often co-existing – modes of governance either do or do not result in (environmentally) sustainable outcomes.
