Honours’ programmes

Instead of being added on top of the Bachelor’s programmes, Honours’ programmes are to become part of them. Students will be selected in advance and invited to attend Honours’ lectures. There will also, however, be another intake opportunity during the first year.
Students taking part in the Honours’ programme starting in September 2013 will not get any additional credits: the Honours’ programme will also result in 180 European Credits (EC).

During the matching trajectory the programme’s suitability for a student and vice versa will be assessed, and individual students will also be selected and asked whether they are interested in taking part.

Embedding of Honours’ programmes in Geosciences

Our Faculty has set up a special project group to design the Honours’ courses. The group will specifically focus on forming a community of Honours’ students and lecturers. Like the current programmes, the new Honours’ programmes will enable students to study their subject in more depth and breadth.

Launch of new Honours’ programmes in September 2013

Selection for the first Honours’ lectures will start during the matching procedures in May 2013. By September 2013, all the Honours’ lectures will have been incorporated into the regular courses.
