What's in the collections?

The Utrecht University Library has 40 collections which support research and education in the seven faculties. Some faculties have one collection, Medicine for example and some have several such as Humanities.
A large part of the collection is available online (ebooks, journals and search engines). Some collections have specific types of material. For example musicology (printed music) and geosciences (maps).

Where are the collections?

Paper collections (books and journals) can be found in the library's two main locations the University Library City Centre and the University Library Uithof.

How do you search for literature in the collections?

This overview of available search engines gives you a place to start your research. You can also choose to use the search engines for specific subject areas.
