GeoLab

GeoLab

The GeoLab is the main laboratory facility of the Faculty of Geosciences, where chemical analyses and experiments are performed (unlike the Earth Simulation Lab, where the physical behaviour of the Earth is studied), teaching activities are prepared and provided and where scientists and students are supported in their research.

The Faculty studies the Earth in all its aspects, from the Earth core to its surface, including man’s spatial and material utilization of the Earth. Subsequently, the GeoLab contains a large equipment pool with advanced instruments where environmental samples can be processed and analyzed.

There are also facilities available to perform experiments under defined conditions. We carry out predominantly specialized work and comparably less routine analyses. Our main advantage is the broad range of expertise and instruments we have available.
