New professor for the Prince Bernhard Chair

The Prince Bernhard Chair for International Nature Conservation is proud to introduce the new chair holder: professor Jaboury Ghazoul. Prof Ghazoul runs a chair on Ecosystem Management at ETH Zurich and will for 5 years be the chair of the PBC. The PBC has been embedded within the Department of Biology of Utrecht University for more than 25 years and aims to strengthen the links between science and practice. It does so by training national and international students on various aspects of nature conservation, by supporting evidence-based conservation strategies and by raising awareness on pressing conservation issues. Prof Ghazoul has been appointed July 1st 2015 and will contribute to education and research on nature conservation at Utrecht University.
