Leo Lentz, Henk Pander Maat and Ted Sanders win award for best article

Prof. Leo Lentz, Dr Henk Pander Maat and Prof. Ted Sanders of the Department of Languages, Literature and Communication at Utrecht University have been awarded the Frank R. Smith Outstanding Article Award of the renowned international journal Technical Communications.

The prize is awarded annually to the author(s) of the best article from the previous year. The three Utrecht researchers received the award for their paper 'Towards Evidence-Based Writing Decisions: The Knowledge Base Comprehensible Text', which was published in Technical Communications in February 2014. The article deals with the Knowledge Base Comprehensible Text (Kennisbank Begrijpelijke Taal). This knowledge base offers access to hundreds of empirical studies in text and document comprehension. It is available both in Dutch and in English.
