Sometimes, the amount of work to be carried out may require overtime. Overtime includes any hours worked on top of the normal working or contractual hours.
Working during collective leave days may also include overtime.
You will be paid for overtime if:
- You are in salary scale 10 or a lower scale;
- You are not in any of the Education & Research job profiles, meaning that you are a member of the support and administrative staff;
- You have asked your superior permission to work overtime beforehand.
In some cases, you are entitled to a meal allowance when working overtime.
Overtime allowance does not serve as a basis for calculating your holiday pay. However, overtime allowance is counted as income when calculating your pension and social benefits.
