Job applications
You are welcome to apply for all advertised vacancies. For most vacancies you can apply online, by using the application button on the bottom of each vacancy. If you need to apply otherwise, you will find the details in the job description.
Utrecht University is aware of the importance of clear and fair application procedures. We therefore adhere to the Recruitment Code of the Dutch Association for Personnel Management & Organisation Development (NVP recruitment code).
When you have been invited for an interview and you had to make expenses, you are entitled to a reimbursement for any resasonably incurred travelling and accommodation expenses. Reimbursement takes place in accordance with the university’s procedures. Also see the regulation Reimbursement of Applicants’ Travelling Expenses.
Special provisions
It may seem obvious, but our top priority is to find the ‘right person for the job’. We therefore want to fill the vacancy with a candidate who is of the required level and who is able to work the required number of hours.
Candidates who require special provisions are not obliged to mention this in their letter of application, unless they apply for a position which, based on the Medical Examinations Act, requires the candidate to undergo a medical examination prior to appointment.
If you should be invited for a job interview, these special provisions will eventually have to be discussed during the procedure. This may occur during the job interview or during a subsequent separate interview. We may also invite professionals to participate in the interview, for example from the corporate health care sector.
We, however, strongly believe that any such impediments should not at all hinder your application procedure.
